VIOLA 16

   A 15-1/2” viola inspired by a similar size viola by Gasparo da Salo who made some of the most prized cremonese violas.  

    The top is two piece Engleman Spruce and the back is two piece Big Leaf  Maple.

   Has a very large tone for a viola this size.  Placed second overall for violas up to 16”  at the VMAAI  2009 competition.
