Award Winning Quartet

We have recently started publishing a newsletter with items of interest about making, maintaining and selecting string instruments.  Newsletter 1 included information about a cello recently completed based on a 1739 Montagnana cello and a viola based on a c.1580 da Salo viola (recently purchased by  David Hennessee, Principal viola player in the San Luis Obispo Symphony ).

Newsletter 2 information about instrument setup and a 5-string violin built for a lady who plays in a bluegrass band.

We also had an Open House  on  May 17 to show how instruments are made, show the instruments available (some people tried them all out) and illustrated some of the techniques for tuning the plates and information available on violin making.
